FUNDEA is a leading and unique research institution, entrusted with promoting cultural, scientific and economic relations between Europe and the Arab World throughout the spreading of scientific and humanistic knowledge produced in universities and other centres for scientific research or artistic creation, focusing on different fields of research, highlighting radicalisation and violent extremism.
Its experience in radicalisation and extremism as well as inter-cultural dialogue, places FUNDEA in the right place to coordinate the VicTory project and oversee the development of WP2.

IPS_Innovative Prison Systems (IPS) is a research and consulting firm specialising in advancing criminal justice systems, with vast experience in developing and implementing EU projects, in several areas, including the prevention of radicalisation and violent extremism, also accounting for adjacent phenomena, such as hate crime, polarisation, doing via through holistic schemes.  
IPS’ experience in radicalisation and extremism prevention, as well as training justice and community practitioners, places it in the right place to lead WP4.

Ararteko, Ombudsman of the Basque Country (ARARTEKO)

Ararteko is defined as the high commissioner of the Basque Parliament to defend the rights of the people in relation to the public policies and actions of the public administrations of the Basque Autonomous Community, having a great deal of experience in managing restorative processes in cases of terrorism.
Considering ARARTEKO’s practical experience with restorative justice, their involvement is paramount for WP5.

Faculdade de Direito da Universide do Porto is the leading Portuguese university in legal and criminological studies, having an extensive track record in justice-related research, including on the use of restorative justice for hate crime.
FDUP’s extensive research skills are of great importance for WP2, and justifies the leadership for WP3.

Associazione Carcere e Territorio (ACT) was born in 1997 with the main purpose to take part in the course of social reintegration of people in criminal enforcement. ACT plays the role of coordinator between many organisations working with different vocations and functions within the justice system, including restorative practices.
ACT’s expertise in gathering professionals from the justice sectors towards restoration places it in the optimal position to lead WP5.

ILGA - Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Intervention Association is the oldest association fighting for equality and against discrimination against LGBTI+ people and their families in Portugal, striving towards their social integration.
As a direct end-user, ILGA is a key partner to guide all project activities.
